Tamarack Road Productions returned to the central coast of California to make its first feature film AIR OF A BLUE SHADOW (2005). AIR OF A BLUE SHADOW is a story about a man's discovery of himself after reuniting with a mermaid.

David called on regional theatre actor John Pillow to play the role of Jonathan, and Stephanie Rubin to play the female leading role of Marion. Rounding out the cast is Molly Levine, Don Bridges. Glenn Norgren (as the eccentric writer Dr. Segal) Desiree Kimball, Ryan O'Corrigan, Joern Piesnack, Jeremy Veater, Zoe Comfort, Valentine Pillow-Wilcox and Hunter Francis. AIR OF A BLUE SHADOW is the first of many films Glenn Norgren and David Dietrich worked on together. Music by Phil Booth and Loa Allebach.
